Maintenance Fitter – Afternoon Shift

Join a high-performing team supporting advanced manufacturing operations in Port Melbourne. This hands-on afternoon shift role is ideal for a mechanically minded professional who thrives on precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Afternoon shift only: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
• Carry out mechanical fitting, repairs, and fabrication work as needed
• Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to ensure operational continuity

Qualifications & Experiences

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
• Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
• Confident fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Able to work independently and within a team environment
• Safety-focused with a commitment to quality
• Forklift licence, boom lift (over 11m) and scissor lift tickets (highly regarded)
• Working at Heights certification (highly regarded)
• First Aid certificate (highly regarded)
• Basic Rigging ticket (highly regarded)
